Blessing Poem

Rising Sap to You

"...May the nourishment of the earth be yours,
may the clarity of the light be yours,
may the fluency of the ocean be yours,
may the protection of the ancestors be yours.
And may a slow
wind work these words
of love around you,
an invisible cloak
to mind your life."
John O'Donohue

Here in Birmingham, the redbud trees are in full bloom, and the dogwoods strive to push open their buds. Spring is in the cold, clear air, and birds sing their hearts out. New life will soon be springing out in all directions like a great pagan shout. Oak flowers and pollen turn the landscape yellow--bane of human existence, and joy of the waiting world. I hope this day finds you in good cheer with the sap rising in your veins. I send you blessings.

                                     In the Spirit,
                                        Jane
