Staying
on Track
“The
value of life can be measured by how many times your soul has been
stirred.”
Soichiro

Do
you ever have times when so many things converge in your life
that you stop and ponder, “What's this all about?” It's as
though the universe needs to send you a message, and since it doesn't
have its own voice, it puts people and events into place to help you
follow the clues. I like to think that each of us has a “Council of
Elders”—guides, invisible to the eye, but just as real as
anything we can see. Their job is to help us discover our soul's purpose here on Earth, and to keep us on track. Sometimes they are able to do
that gently, with dreams and synchronous events, but if we remain
oblivious to their efforts, they will get rough with us. We will
experience illness, accidents, addictions, misfortunes and all manner
of unpleasant circumstances, until we wake up and listen to what
they're trying to tell us. They are not invested in our “material
success,” but in the golden value of our souls.
Having
one's soul stirred can come from sweet, poignant events, but it can
also come from disaster. Either way, that stirring is important. Our
job is to stay awake, to listen and search for meaning in the
experiences of our lives. In the words of Hermann Hesse, “I have
always believed, and I still believe, that whatever good or bad
fortune may come our way, we can always give it meaning and transform
it into something of value.” Today, may your soul be stirred.
In
the Spirit,
Jane
