Up and at 'em!

Monday

Put your heart, mind and soul into even your smallest acts. This is the secret of success.” Swami Sivananda

It's Monday morning; hi-ho, hi-ho, it's off to work we go! Coffee cup in hand, regretting yesterday's late night, yearning for just one more day to spend outside in this fabulous springtime, we are up and out. How can we possibly make this day successful?

How about we invest it with mystery. From the amazing machine we humans have created to get us to work, to the incredible design of our roads and intersections, everything around us is a miracle of ingenuity. We can notice the budding trees, the mating-crazy birds, the children on their way to school, the devoted moms in the carpool line, and appreciate the thriving, growing world in which we live. We can listen to music, sip our dark, rich coffee and give thanks for the hands that picked and roasted the beans to make it. We can, while we're at it, give thanks for the life within us, and the fact that we have work enough to feed our families.

In the words of John Hagee: “Gather all your resources, rally all your faculties, marshal all your energies, focus all your capacities upon mastery of at least one field of endeavor.” Do your best. Put soul into your work, and you will return home tonight sated, satisfied and pleasantly tired.

                                               In the Spirit,

                                                     Jane
