Everyone loves...

Happy Endings

If you want a happy ending, that depends, of course, on where you stop your story.” Orson Welles

Today marks the end of three years of writing a daily blog—more than a thousand postings. I have tried to share with you some of my own life, and my struggle to be a conscious human being, and to, hopefully, shine a light into some dark places that exist both without and within each of us. I have enjoyed seeing that a few people all over the world, in places that I've never been, have faithfully read these daily vignettes. That alone has inspired me to continue day after day to get out of bed and write whatever is on my heart and mind at that time.

Writing the blog every day has helped me to develop the discipline needed to be a writer. It has become my own spiritual practice; a good way to start each day on a positive note. It has taught me that there are enough stories in this world that I could write all day, every day and never even scratch the surface. It has given me a framework for thinking about life and its possibilities for good and bad.

But, it has also kept me from other creative projects that have been on the back-burner for far too long. There is a book that needs to be put into its final format, and a collection of essays just begun and longing to be told. There is the suggestion from a number of you to do something more with my quilts—to write about them and tell their stories. Others have suggested that I write a book for children starring “Liza the Mini-Yak.” There is no shortage of suggestions for new and exciting projects.

So, today will be my last blog posting for Spiritually Speaking. Please know how much you have enriched my life with your participation in this blog and with your comments and suggestions. I plan to compile the best of the posts into a daily reader for publication. I wish each and everyone of you the very best that life has to offer. Thank you so much.

                                                     In the Spirit,
                                                           Jane

P.S. Stay in touch! You have my email address—let me hear from you!
